Microsoft's Vista-only game cracked for XP

A group of naughty hackers have cracked Shadowrun, one of the first Vista-only games on PC, and released a file that allows Windows XP users to play the game.

Giving a middle fingerto Microsoft's release strategy, the hacking group Razor1911 has managed to subvert the Win XP lockout and eliminate the need for DirectX 10 with a small, 4MB file.

With hackers already working on the Vista-only Halo 2, you can expect to be fighting the Covenant on your XP PC very soon.

Is nothing sacred anymore?
