Today we came across the latest case of Valve handing out the rights to their intellectual property to seeminglyanyonewho wants to spotlight it in their game.
Last week, we saw the inclusion of Team Fortress 2 teams in Robot Entertainment's Hero Academy. Before that, we heard about their collaboration with Adult Swim. Now, we're getting word that the Payday: The Heist DLC level that Valve allowed them to theme on Mercy Hospital has gone live as well.
The rumors surrounding this DLC level set the gaming world ablaze with speculation for weeks, with many speculating that the collaboration was going to lead to a full-blown co-operative prequel to Left 4 Dead. Instead, this level reportedly includes content in which Payday's developer imagines what it would have been like at Mercy Hospital in the moments before the fall into zombocalypse.
The update is free to anyone who owns Payday on Steam, and according to the game listing it will "also have some extra candy hidden in there for those who just can't help ending up in the hospital."
