I tested plenty of gaming headsets in 2025. As I look back, it's very easy for them all to mesh into one pair in my memory, especially as they all share a similar look and features. However, the Corsair Void Wireless V2 easily stands out from the rest.

Corsair's budget headset is easy to remember for its combination of premium features, including one of the best microphones I've ever tested, and great sound, all in one , easy-to-digest mid-range $129.99 price package. Now, the Void Wireless V2 has dropped to just $79.99 at Amazon, saving $50 off its full price and making it easier than ever to sing its fantastic-sounding gaming headset praises. You'll struggle to find a pair that packs in a high-quality mic, booming custom 50mm Neodymium audio drivers, 2.4GHz and Bluetooth wireless support, and a whopping up to 70-hour battery for this price today.

The Corsair Void V2 offers a lot for its current $79.99 deal price. So much so that you'll struggle to find a more impressive combination of quality for the same price. For one, this $80 pair comes with one of my favorite microphones I've tested on a pair so far.

I've harped on about it a few times by this point, but that's because the omnidirectional mic is one of the ones I've had the most compliments on while playing through online games like Rare's Sea of Thieves and Dead by Daylight with my pals. Annoyingly, it's not detachable, which could be a deal breaker for some. But you can just flip the boom arm out of the way when you aren't up for some Discord in-game chat. Its detachable nature is also easy to look past when you consider everything else the Void V2 has to offer, including its sound.

This PC headset is equipped with custom 50mm Neodymium audio drivers, which offer a quality that rivals even that of Corsair's more premium Virtuoso Max Wireless headset, which I also tested in 2025. Through testing, the drivers provided balanced sound to the low, mid and high frequencies of any game I threw its way, and when combined with its accompanying Dolby Atmos support, I was able to get truly lost in my favorite fiction game worlds. The creeks and rumbling sounds of my ship in Sea of Thieves sounded so life-like that it became my go-to pair for the game.

It's not just the sound and mic quality that's rich, but there are a lot rich amounts of customization at play here. For the low price of $79.99, you also get access to some subtle strips of RGB lighting, which you can tailor to your liking via the iCue software, where you can also tailor the sound via its multiple EQ options. As a heads up, if you're a glasses wearer, the location of the RGB strips at the edge of each earcup means you will get some reflection in your lenses, but anyone with contacts or a vision better than my own won't have any issues.

So long as you don't mind the lack of wired support, which you can find in alternatives for a similar price, like the Razer Barracuda X Chroma available for $99.99 at Amazon, this pair is a no-brainer for those of you with little more than $80 to spare on anew headset in 2026. Essentially, you're getting a mid-range pair of cups for a lower-range price, which shouldn't be missed if you're a PC or PS5 player.

If you want something a bit more premium, I've also rounded up all the best PS5 headsets, the best Nintendo Switch headsets, and the best Xbox Series X headsets that will make your games sound their absolute best.

Ever since I first held a NES controller in my hand I've been obsessed with gaming, and the hardware it runs on. I could hook up a NES and SNES to a telly, without instructions, before I could walk. Even now, nothing is more exciting then taking a console, or handheld, out the box for the first time and setting it up. This obsession transformed into a love of games and game music, which lead to my music degree and dream of becoming the Scottish Nobuo Uematsu. After sharing my love of games through music, I began to share my love through words on sites like TechRadar and iMore. This lead to becoming a Hardware staff writer for PCGamesN, and later the Senior Tech Writer for Dexerto, covering all things Steam Deck, PlayStation and Nintendo. With that experience, I was able to level up as Hardware Editor for GamesRadar+, where I'm still just as Nintendo, PlayStation and gaming tech obsessed as ever.
