Razer just unveiled a brand-new line-up of console skins for the Nintendo Switch 2 on X (Twitter) yesterday, based on a range of iconic Sanrio characters. Just like the brand's new keycaps, there's a set available for fans of everyone from Cinnamoroll to PomPomPurin, to be stuck to your official dock, Switch 2 Joy-Con controllers, and even Joy-Con grips to give a touch of Sanrio cuteness.
Like previous Sanrio keycaps these are exclusive to Target, and available now starting from $19.99. That means there's no way to get hold of these adorable skins in the UK for now, so this range is entirely for the US Sanrio fans.
This Cinnamoroll console skin set includes a way to show off your love of the flopped-eared pup on both the Joy-Con controllers, grip, and the official Switch 2 dock. As of typing, there are only five of these sets left, so I recommend grabbing one to avoid any disappointment - or heading to your local Target store instead.
Undoubtedly my favorite of these new console skins, this set includes My Melody in an adorable cottage-core-themed outfit, alongside a range of matching flowers and foliage. Much like the Cinnamoroll set, stock seems to be dwindling, as the Target site states there's only two left as of typing, so I'd grab it now if you can.
PomPomPurin is my friend's favorite Sanrio character, so I'm also partial to this adorable console cover set. Its yellow mellow vibes are also low in stock, however, so it's another set I'd recommend grabbing if you're eager to make your Switch 2 as cute as possible.
Razer iterates that these new Nintendo Switch 2 accessories are crafted from premium 3M cast vinyl so not only do they seriously up the cute factor of your Switch 2, but they're sturdy enough to help "guard against scratches, scuffs, and daily wear from travel, docking, and frequent gameplay." Talking of docking, that's one of the main pros to grabbing a skin over a wrap-around case.
You see, right now I have a Pokemon-themed bumper case attached to my console, and the extra width renders a lot of my accessories entirely useless. As much as I love the Belkin Charging Case Pro, I can't actually use its charging capabilities as my slip case adds too much thickness for the USB-C port. Instead, these are "ultra-thin" and offer "full dock compatibility."
You don't need any tools to get these skins attached either. If you happen to get bored of Cinnamoroll (how dare you), Razer states these are also easily removable "without residue" so you won't need to worry about the condition of your console underneath. That's great news if you do want to switch things up, as this range encompasses not just Cinnamoroll, My Melody, and PomPomPurin, but Razer previously launched a set for Kuromi and Hello Kitty fans for the same $19.99 (Target) price.
If you're UK-based like me and want an alternative, Dbrand's Switch 2 skins ship to the UK, but you will have to forgo hopes of finding Hello Kitty's friends on their versions. But hey, some of its skins glow in the dark, which is cute in a nostalgic 90s kinda way.
