Neversoft's Guitar Hero IV will feature custom song creation and multiple instruments when it launches later on this year, saysa US report.
According toShacknews, the latest issue of Game Informer has spilled the first details on Guitar Hero 4. The forth title in the series will expand the musical peripheral offerings to include drum and vocal gameplay, in addition to bass and guitar.
The song creation process is a little unclear, but it sounds like the functionality will allow players to take the existing songs and modify the heck out of everything but the vocals. So you CAN put a thirty minute guitar solo in Hotel California, if you so desire.
You'll also be able to upload it and even desire your own record sleeve. We're expecting something akin to My SingStar Online for this.
Confirmed bands so far consist of Van Halen, The Eagles, Linkin Park and Sublime. All tracks will be master tracks provided by the respective record labels.
Whether or not Rock Band peripherals will be compatible with GHIV is currently unknown.
