A new trailer has emerged online for comic-book sequel Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance , and Nic Cage looks out to ensure that no piece of scenery will go unchewed.
The new trailer establishes the film’s plot, in which Cage’s cursed bounty hunter must rescue a young boy from becoming the spawn of Satan (Ciaran Hinds) and bringing about the Apocalypse.
“I made a lot of mistakes,” says the boy’s mother, “but Danny’s the one good thing I ever did.” “That being the case,” retorts Cage, “we better make sure he doesn’t turn out to be the Antichrist.”
Take a look at the new trailer below…
The film is directed by Crank double-act Neveldine-Taylor, and it shows, with a series of kinetic action sequences offset nicely by a host of pithy one liners. And isn’t Nic Cage just the perfect man to deliver them?
Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance roars its way into UK cinemas on 17 February 2012, and naturally, it will be presented in 3D. Looking for a more adult-orientated superhero this winter? Ghost Rider may very well be your man…
