Yoshi and the Mysterious Book pre-orders come with cracking bonus gifts, but only for UK fans
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book launches on May 21
Everyone's favorite little green, egg-laying dino is back for another adorable adventure in Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, which launches on May 21, 2026. This is Yoshi's first solo Nintendo Switch 2 outing and his first game since Yoshi and the Crafted World, so it's a pretty big deal.
As egg-citing as it is, the game is not ready to hatch quite yet, but pre-orders are available for $69.99 (Amazon) / £49.99 (Amazon) on the Nintendo Switch 2. The best news? Not only is there no sign of a game-key card to be found, but there are not one but two cracking pre-order bonus gifts available too. Picking up your pre-order straight from Nintendo is pricier at £58.99 (Nintendo), but it will net you a set of Yoshi-themed magnetic bookmarks and a tote bag. These bonus gifts are UK-only for now, which I suspect is not what US fans will want to hear.
However, there is good news to be had for US fans too, as this game marks the first to drop after Nintendo announced pricing changes, making the digital version $10 cheaper than normal. With Nintendo game prices being what they are, it's nice to see future Switch 2 games become more accessible. It's no cute tote bag with Yoshi's face on it, but you can always pick up some Yoshi merchandise with that cash you've saved.
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book US Pre-orders
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book | $69.99 at Amazon
Amazon was quick on the mark to drop its Yoshi and the Mysterious Book pre-order, but there are no discounts or free goodies to be found. While you can expect to fork out its full $69.99 MSRP, Prime members can at least take advantage of savings on shipping.
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book | $69.99 at Best Buy
If you prefer to get all your shopping done at Best Buy you can also grab Yoshi and the Mysterious Book for $69.99 today. There's no launch savings inbound, but Best Buy is one of your best bets to ensure you get the game on, or shortly after, release.
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book | $69.99 at GameStop
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is also available to pre-order at GameStop right now for its full $69.99 MSRP. Just beware that it could take 2-3 days for your copy to arrive, but you can add one of the Yoshi amiibo from the site's extensive range to unlock some in-game extras.
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book | $69.99 at Nintendo
You can grab your Yoshi and the Mysterious Book pre-order for its full $69.99 price at the official Nintendo online store. If you want to save a little cash, you can get $10 off by sticking to the digital version, which is not too shabby if you ask me.
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book UK Pre-orders
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book | £49.99 at Amazon
Amazon is usually a little late with dropping its Switch 2 game pre-orders, but it was fast to list Yoshi and the Mysterious Book for just £49.99. There's no pre-order gift here, but if you're a Prime member, you can take advantage of Amazon's speedy shipping and pre-order price guarantee.
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book | £58.99 at Nintendo
The official Nintendo UK store is the only place you can grab the pre-order bonus gifts alongside your pre-order today. It does mean you'll have to drop the full £58.99 MSRP for the game, but that's the price you'll have to spare in order to secure both of those adorable Yoshi-themed goodies.
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book | £49.99 at Very
If you'd prefer a lower price and at least one of the bonus gifts, you can pre-order the game at Very for £49.99. The UK retailer doesn't provide both sets of goodies, but you can at least secure those magnetic bookmarks, which is better than nothing.
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book | £52.95 at TheGameCollection
The Game Collection is usually the UK retailer that knocks out the cheapest pre-order prices, but it has Yoshi and the Mysterious Book available for £52.95 ahead of release. That's still knocking off a few pounds from its full MSRP, but it's not the lowest price around right now.

Weekly digests, tales from the communities you love, and more

Ever since I first held a NES controller in my hand I've been obsessed with gaming, and the hardware it runs on. I could hook up a NES and SNES to a telly, without instructions, before I could walk. Even now, nothing is more exciting then taking a console, or handheld, out the box for the first time and setting it up. This obsession transformed into a love of games and game music, which lead to my music degree and dream of becoming the Scottish Nobuo Uematsu. After sharing my love of games through music, I began to share my love through words on sites like TechRadar and iMore. This lead to becoming a Hardware staff writer for PCGamesN, and later the Senior Tech Writer for Dexerto, covering all things Steam Deck, PlayStation and Nintendo. With that experience, I was able to level up as Hardware Editor for GamesRadar+, where I'm still just as Nintendo, PlayStation and gaming tech obsessed as ever.
