Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is probably the most lavish blockbuster RPG we're going to get in 2024. It's an astonishingly huge game: the combination of a lengthy main quest, oodles of side quests, and over 20 mini-games means you'll likely wring around 100 hours out of it. Perhaps as a result, it hasn't dipped significantly lower than the AU$100 mark in Australia, until now.
Presumably as part of the usual Aussie End of Financial Year sales (not to mention its own Mid Year Sale) Amazon has dished out a record-low price on Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, bringing it down from the RRP of AU$119.95 to a much more doable AU$7 $9 AU$75.95. If you've been keen to dive into Midgar but can't spare that much cash, maybe it's time to bite.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth released in late February to universal acclaim. "Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth delivers all the charm of Remake while making the needed improvements to side-content to ensure the original's step-out moment is worth taking once more," Iain Harris wrote in our review.
As brilliant as Rebirth is, though, you're going to want to play the first in this remake trilogy first. With that in mind, Amazon is currently selling the PS5 version of Final Fantasy VII Remake for AU$61.49. Trust us: this isn't a trilogy that you're going to want to dive into the middle of without context.
After a dispiritingly quiet 2024 on the deals front, the heat is picking up ahead of the mid-year rush. For example, Dragon's Dogma 2 for PS5 also hit its record low this week, going for a record low of AU$69.
