Fable pre-orders are live, and the Collector's Edition includes a Jack of Blades statue for die-hard fans
Fable launches on February 23
The long-awaited reboot of Lionhead Studios Fable has been delayed until February 23, 2027. But while you can't yet make all the best (and wrong) decisions in Albion you can at least secure your pre-order, and the squakingly good Chicken Suit Cosmetic outfit along with it.
Fable pre-orders are available on both the PS5 and Xbox Series X if you prefer to to add a physical copy to your collection. The Standard Edition is currently $69.99 (Best Buy) on both platforms. Meanwhile you can pay £89.99 / $89.99 for the Premium Edition for the digital artbook and soundtrack, access to some exclusive cosmetic outfits, and Order of the Hero post-game DLC. You'll also get 5 days Early Access with the Premium Edition, letting you explore the new Albion before everyone else.
If you have more gold to spare, there's the £189.99 (Xbox) Fable Collector's Edition up for grabs. It features the base game and all the Premium in-game goodies, but adds statuette of iconic series baddie Jack of Blades into the mix. There's more spoils to be had too, including a hardcover art book, a steelbook case, and a Guild Seal pin so you can look at dapper as your champion. No matter which version you grab, your chicken chaser-loving heart will be glad to know the Chicken Cosmetic will also be included.

Fable Collector's Edition | £189.99 at Xbox
The Fable Collector's Edition is expected to ship in 2027 and includes the base game and Premium Edition game contents, alongside a Jack of Blades statuette, hard cover artbook, custom SteelBook case, and a Guild Seal lapel pin.
You can grab your Fable Collector's Edition pre-order for PS5, Steam or Xbox Series X directly from Xbox Gear Store for £189.99 in the UK, or sign up to be notified when it will be back in stock in the US. So far, it appears to be an EU Xbox Gear Store exclusive, so I recommend signing up if you're eager to add that statue to your Fable collection.
Fable pre-orders in the US
Fable | $69.99 at Amazon
Amazon has both the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of Fable up for grabs, where you can take advantage of your Prime membership for speedy delivery when February rolls around. Grabbing your copy from Bezos HQ now will grant you access to the Chicken Suit, along with the a Wild Flower Bouquet, a Toy Chicken, and a Scones & Jam Picnic Hamper items.
Xbox Series X: $69.99 at Amazon
Fable | $69 at Walmart
Walmart is one of the cheapest places to grab the Fable Standard Edition ahead of launch. Sure there's just 99 cents off compared to other retailers, but it's better than nothing. Especially as you still get those pre-order items.
Xbox Series X: $69 at Walmart
Fable | $69.99 at Best Buy
Best Buy was one of the first places to knock-out its Fable pre-orders for both the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Both versions are available for the full $69.99 price so there's no pre-launch discounts to be found, but you at least will get the Chicken Suit to use in-game, and Best Buy is one of the best retailers to ensure you get the game delivered on "or shortly" after February 23.
Xbox Series X: $69.99 at Best Buy
Fable | $69.99 at GameStop
If you grabbed the older Fable games at GameStop and want to pickup the new PS5 and Xbox version from there too, the US retailer has both versions available for their full $69.99 MSRP. Just be weary that it might take 2-3 days for your copy to arrive, so you likely won't get to explore Albion on day-one.
Xbox Series X: $69.99 at GameStop
Fable pre-orders in the UK
Fable | Check stock at Amazon
Amazon UK hasn't yet dropped its Fable PS5 or Xbox Series pre-orders for the standard edition, but this isn't too surprising. Sometimes it takes a few days for new game listings to appear, particularly previously delayed one. But I'll be sure to update this page when it finally makes its grand appearance.
Xbox Series X: Check stock at Amazon
Fable | Check stock at Very
Fable pre-orders are quiet on the UK side of things, as even the likes of Very has yet to drop the game. Both PS5 and Xbox Series X Standard Edition copies are nowhere to be found, but it likely won't be long until that changes.
Xbox Series X: Check stock at Very
Fable | Check stock at Currys
Currys is also lacking in its Fable pre-orders for both PS5 and Xbox Series X, which is disappointing. However, you can at least submit your details to the UK retailer to be kept informed of pre-orders, which is better than nothing I suppose.

Weekly digests, tales from the communities you love, and more

Ever since I first held a NES controller in my hand I've been obsessed with gaming, and the hardware it runs on. I could hook up a NES and SNES to a telly, without instructions, before I could walk. Even now, nothing is more exciting then taking a console, or handheld, out the box for the first time and setting it up. This obsession transformed into a love of games and game music, which lead to my music degree and dream of becoming the Scottish Nobuo Uematsu. After sharing my love of games through music, I began to share my love through words on sites like TechRadar and iMore. This lead to becoming a Hardware staff writer for PCGamesN, and later the Senior Tech Writer for Dexerto, covering all things Steam Deck, PlayStation and Nintendo. With that experience, I was able to level up as Hardware Editor for GamesRadar+, where I'm still just as Nintendo, PlayStation and gaming tech obsessed as ever.
