A free Smash Bros. tribute album as massive as the series itself

Harmony of Heroes represents a massive undertaking. This fan-made tribute album spans over ninety tracks from more than sixty composers operating on a global scale. All this effort has been channeled to create a bombastic, genre-mixing collection celebrating the history of the Super Smash Bros. series. Featuring remixes from Brawl, Melee, and the original Smash Bros., Harmony of Heroes takes an already nostalgia-filled track list and gives it a new twist. Plus, it's all free.

The entire album--which clocks in at a hefty 1.3 gigabytes--can be downloaded in full at the official site via a direct download or torrent. However, if you want to make things easier on your bandwidth, you can also stream the music from the site as well.

If nothing else, head over and check out the ridiculous A K.Rool Pub Crawl which transforms the already-jaunty King K. Rool theme into a twangy pubhouse gig, complete with pirate voice acting. I'd also point you toward the tranquil and distant Spring Will Melt Us Back to Home from the Earthbound collection or the guitar-thrashing Fields of Fire from the F-Zero collection. Now, if only the Wii U version of Smash supported custom soundtracks…
