After yesterday'sIron Man announcement, Marvel Comics fans might begin to question reality when yet another major franchise has been revealed for practically every platform under the sun. Take-Two Interactive announced today that Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer will herald the return of Marvel's First Family in a third-person action game. With only this bit of info to go on, we're already hoping against hope that it's better than the last movie tie-in.
Details on the Surfer movie are still incomplete, but judging from the title we're willing to bet the storyline will follow the comic's legendary introduction of both the Surfer and the planet-eating Galactus, both pictured above. If so... damn. A giant alien dude in an oversized helmet issuing orders to a shiny CGI man might be too much for Average Summer Joe to stomach. Look for the movie and games to fall in line around June 2007.
