Horror films are always hard to sell in snippet form.
Jumps on their own do not a heart-racing terror make.
But we've got our hands on the first five minutes from the critically acclaimed box office smash T he Conjuring , and as far as self-contained four-minute horror stories go, this definitely does the job.
While the main bulk of the movie is concerned on the investigation into the haunted home of the Perron family by paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, the opening pre-amble is a nerve-shredding tale of a flat terrorised by a creepy doll.
Warning though - you must be 15 years or older to watch the clip below. Also, incredibly brave.
The Conjuring is released on DVD and Blu-ray 9 December 2013.
