Zendaya says the Avengers movies were spoiled for her... by none other than her Spider-Man: Brand New Day co-star Tom Holland.
"There were a few times that Tom ruined the Avengers movies for me, because he was so excited about telling me what he did," Zendaya explained in an interview with French media site AlloCine. Robert Pattinson, her co-star in The Drama, immediately asked about the biggest thing Tom revealed, positing whether it was a major character death.
"Yes... he revealed that to me in private, and I was like... 'Why did you tell me that?!'" Zendaya replied. "So I didn't get to fully enjoy that with the world, but I’m also kind of glad that I got told in advance so I wasn’t, like, having a meltdown."
Article continues belowIn case you aren't familiar, Holland isn't the best at keeping secrets... From revealing that Spider-Man: Homecoming would be turned into a trilogy, to accidentally sharing the Avengers: Infinity War poster on Instagram live... and even revealing that his character gets blipped a la "Mr. Stark, I don't feel so good" in Infinity War for the literal opening night audience. Suffice to say, I'm not surprised the movies were also spoiled for Zendaya – dude just can't seem to keep a secret.
The two are set to star in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which follows the aftermath of the world forgetting the existence of Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home (which, yes, Holland also almost accidentally spoiled).
Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits theaters on July 31. For more Spidey, get up to speed on the rest of Marvel Phase 6 with our guide to the other upcoming Marvel movies and shows. For more cinema, check out our list of movie release dates.
