Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be a "much bigger" game according to EA CFO Blake Jorgensen in a recent financial presentation.
Speaking to European investors, Jorgensen stated that "we’re looking forward to bringing to the table next year a much bigger, much more exciting Battlefront." He specifically cited the ability to use Star Wars Episodes 7 and 8 as a reason for this: "this year we’ll have the opportunity to leverage content from the new movies and we think that will make the opportunities much larger."
Last year's Battlefront came out just before the new movie and was confined to the original trilogy, bar DLC nods. Jorgensen addressed some of the reactions to the game, saying, "I think if there was criticism, [fans] wanted more of it." Which is a great way to spin a positive on the upset over the lack of single player (bar bot modes). While there's no confirmation of a single player campaign in the pipeline, Jorgensen concludes that "we’re taking that criticism to heart and addressing any criticism they had."
