The first clip has arrived online for Brett Ratner’s Hercules , in which Dwayne Johnson gets his badass on as the titular hero.
The new clip shows Hercules and his army walk into what appears to be an abandoned battlefield full of slain warriors...none of whom are quite as slain as they look.
With the trap sprung, it looks as though Herc is well and truly undone, but he didn’t make his name by shying away from a scrap, and it isn’t long before the trash talk starts flying.

It’s a shame that the clip chooses to cut away before the action, but we’d imagine Hercules pulls out a few Rock Bottoms before hitting his rival leader with a People’s Elbow. Probably…
Directed by Ratner and co-starring John Hurt, Joseph Fiennes and Ian McShane, Hercules will open in the UK on 8 August 2014.
