Dead Phoenix
The unluckiest of the 'Capcom 5' - Capcom's 2002 explosion of GameCube support - Dead Phoenix was to be a free-flying 3D shooter with a focus on massive battles. Perhaps noticing that the response to the title was only mildly enthusiastic (it's tough to measure up to Resident Evil 4, after all), Capcom shuffled Phoenix out of the spotlight. Later, the company claimed the game was never specifically cancelled, but by now it looks like it's never specifically going to be released.
Comeback chance?
Despite determined Nintendo fan rumours that Phoenix would return as a new Kid Icarus (don't worry, we barely remember it either) game, a rise from the ashes seems unlikely.
