Destiny: Xur weapons, gear, and location, June 9 - 11. TELESTO!

No fancy intro this week: just buy Telesto if you haven't already got it. It's a pulse rifle that fires charges which stick to walls and enemies before detonating a second later with a small about of splash damage. It's glorious:

And, yes, it is basically the Needler from Halo. Thing is though, if you can land the hits on an enemy - it's dead. If you sort of miss, the blast will still make his day a lot less fun. It's great for hurting specific enemies and messing up crowds and basically one of Destiny's essential weapons.

And, there's some other stuff I guess...

  • Special Weapon Legacy Engram 31 SC
  • Crest of Alpha Lupi (Hunter chest armour) 13 SC
  • Empyrean Bellicose (Titan helmet) 13 SC
  • The Stag (Warlock helmet) 13 SC
  • Telesto Fusion rifle 17 SC
  • Monte Carlo auto rifle/Superspy ornament – 30 SC and 25 Silver Dust
  • Red Death pulse rifle/Steel Witch ornament – 30 SC and 25 Silver Dust

The Hunter's Crest of Alpha Lupi isn't bad if you like playing support type roles as it speeds up resurrections, but that's about it. The Titan's Empyrean Bellicose helmet is similarly useful in a limited way, letting you hover in the air while aiming. Defintely handy to catch Crucible opponents off guard, or get a better angle on PvE enemies. Just have a think about if you really need that ability before spending the coins.

As for the Warlock's Stag helmet, it's all about whether you want antlers. Because that's what you'll get. It'll give you one fast Super recharge per life if everyone else is dead. So, a very specific use.

The weapon bundles are the same as last week, which is no bad thing if you didn't get them both. Monte Carlo's great, boosting your melee charge with each kill and randomly topping it up completely. Red Death heals you and speeds up reloads with each kill, adding in an Unflinching Perk and High Caliber Rounds to increase it lethality. It's a nice tool to have around.

As ever, don't forget to grab all the Three of Coins and Exotic Shards you can carry, and you'll have until Sunday morning buy all the shiny things.
