Delhi Belly review

Opening on a massive hairy bum crack and using the eponymous stomach complaint as a major plot device, this filthy Mumbai farce plays like a faecally obsessed Guy Ritchie flick with added charm.

Stringing together cocks, robbers and all manner of bodily fluid-spattered set-pieces with verve and wit, it follows Imran Khan and friends as they accidentally swap a stool sample for some priceless smugglers’ loot.

With a Blaxploitation-style blow-job song replacing the usual musical numbers, Abhinay Deo’s inclusive, internationalist effort crosses cultural – and taste – barriers with a joie de vivre that’ll have even the Bollywood-averse belly laughing along too.
