They’re going to have to change his name to Houdini the way Chuck keeps escaping cancellation. But… HURRAH!
Although NBC has yet to confirm, both TVline and Deadline (which tend to get these insider scoop things right) are reporting that Chuck will be back for a fifth series, with the network ordering another 13 episodes.
Not bad for a show that’s seemed to be on the brink of cancellation since the end of season two. Its viewing figures are currently lower than ever and small enough to get most shows axed, but we’re glad it’s coming back, because it’s just so much damned silly fun. And it always provides some great material for Spurious Awards.
Maybe all those product placement deals they make for Big Mike are making the show profitable?
