Battlezone is a PlayStation VR launch title, but it sounds like developer Rebellion isn't going easy on the new hardware. Not only will the game put you in the driver's seat of a virtual tank, it'll connect you to three other players across the world with online co-op. A new trailer breaks it all down:
I'm no tech expert, but I would think that this would be a fairly involved and complex process. Smooth visuals are paramount to selling the illusion of virtual reality, and lag is something even the biggest and best non-VR FPS games sometimes struggle with. In order to pull this off, Rebellion will need to make Battlezone's co-op look as good as it feels.
We'll see how successful this foray into a new, neon world is when PlayStation VR launches on October 13.
