After Adam Wingard’s familiar I-See-Dead-People riff and an (excellent) extended zom-cam gag from the Blair Witch team, Gareth The Raid Evans and Timo Tjahjanto’s Indonesia-set ‘Safe Haven’ blows the film apart. The story of a documentary team infiltrating a cult, it’s the most insane piece of exploitation cinema you’ll see all year.

Neither the flimsy wraparound, nor Jason Eisener’s noisy Signs -on-speed, can measure up. Then again, what could?
