New Zelda: Breath of the Wild trailer shows a world full of life - and death

A new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was shown during the pre-show of The Game Awards 2016, offering a glimpse into the wider world beyond the small slice we saw at E3 this year.

The brief teaser shows small towns filled will people going about their daily lives. Link moved through large green expanses, fighting monsters, and coming across desolate, ruined areas with all of the color removed.

No release date yet, but a splash screen showed both the Wii U and Nintendo Switch logos, and host Geoff Keighley promised another Zelda reveal later on in the award show, so stay tuned for more information in the coming hours, and check out our Game Awards 2016 hub for everything else you need to know
