GTA 5’s multiplayer component, GTA Online, will be supported by in-game items ranging in price from £1.99 to £13.49, according to a Eurogamer source said to have early access to the game.
Images of four in-game ‘Cash Cards’ were first uncovered by Reddit users earlier this week. Eurogamer claims in-game cash packs are available in four sizes: a $100,000 Red Shark Cash Card costing £1.99, a $200,000 Tiger Shark Cash Card priced at £3.49, a $500,000 Bull Shark Cash Card costing £6.99, and a $1,250,000 Great White Shark Cash Card priced at £13.49.
The site notes that, while GTA Online and GTA 5 are set in the same game world, in-game item costs vary between the two. Cars and properties are said to be relatively inexpensive in GTA Online, while weapon and car mods are reportedly pricier than GTA 5’s. It’s claimed that GTA Online players can only own one property at a time and are initially limited to buying pistols and a single vehicle. Many items are said to be out of normal financial reach at the beginning of the experience and only accessible once players have ranked up their character.
