Nintendo unveiled the Legend of Zelda special edition Nintendo Switch 2 console during the brand's 40th Anniversary Direct in September. With a release date set for October 29, pre-orders have unfortunately long sold out with all retailers.
Despite all major retailers removing their listings or marking them "unavailable", it may be worth checking back every now and then before October 29. Who knows, maybe there will be another stock replenishment. We'll certainly be keeping an eye out, and will update this page if it happens.
See below for all the best places to secure a pre-order:
Where can I pre-order the Legend of Zelda Nintendo Switch 2 in Australia?
[Out of stock] Amazon was slow on the uptake with pre-orders, but they're now live and listed to be shipping on Monday, November 2.
[Out of stock] JB Hi-Fi was the first Australian retailer to offer pre-orders of the Nintendo Switch 2 The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition console. Purchases are limited to 1 per household. Apparently stock is selling fast.
[Out of stock] Officeworks is taking orders for the Legend of Zelda Switch 2, but without the slight discount it usually offers on console gear.
[Out of stock] EB Games is only offering preorders to EB World PLUS members at the moment. There's also a trade in bonus if you're a member. For those of us who aren't members, it's a bit useless.
Of course, Nintendo itself is going to be a front runner in many bookmark lists here. It's typically harder to get yourself in line here, though. The Switch 2 was locked behind playtime quotas and membership lengths, and even then Nintendo operated on an invite-only system for the first few waves of stock.
We're out of the woods with that original launch yes, but the special edition Zelda Switch 2 is likely to move fast still.

When will Legend of Zelda Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders be available?
The Legend of Zelda Nintendo Switch 2 launches on October 29, but some retailers including JB Hi-Fi and EB Games have opened pre-orders already (see above).
Is Ocarina of Time Remake included with the Legend of Zelda Nintendo Switch 2?
The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Remake is not included with the special edition Nintendo Switch 2 console. That's pretty typical for Nintendo, who rarely includes the game with its special releases.
Nintendo also dropped news of Hasbro's new electronic Master Sword and the new Lego Link and Epona set in its Direct, but you can also check out all the best Legend of Zelda merch we've found so far.
