Guarantee your place in the Guild Wars 2 beta with pre-order bonus scheme

Guild Wars 2 publisher NCSoft has detailed preorder bonuses for the highly-anticipated MMO. Putting down a preorder for any of the game's three editions will guarantee players entry into all future beta events, as well as securing an in-game Hero's Band buff and 3-day headstart on the game's launch. This allows you to nail down that impossibly clever guild name you've been coveting since some clever dickens beat you to it in Guild Wars 1.

The game will come packaged in three versions: the $59 Standard, $149 Collector's and $79 Digital Deluxe editions. Here's a look at the Collector's Edition, including that ballin' Rytlock Brimstone statue to stand guard over all your other, less skull-stomping figurines. There's also all the usual-but-welcome bonuses of a making-of book, art prints in a custom frame, Soule-ful soundtrack, and some bonus in-game items to flaunt for the first few weeks until you start looting some more powerful stuff. The Guild Wars 2 release date's yet to be set, but these preorders will go live on the game's site and at retailers on April 10.
