Cinematic siblings the Vicious Brothers' debut sees a TV crew of ghost hunters investigate a haunted insane asylum to see what spookiness they can rustle up.

This is the exact premise of every “paranormal investigation” show currently clogging up cable but, in this case, it appears the haunting may be all too real – and it may be the building itself that is possessed.

Despite its meagre budget, Grave Encounters boasts surprisingly solid acting, vertigo-baiting hand-held camera antics and enough [REC] - style shock-horror to keep your pulse throbbing throughout.
