Gotham's S2 trailer is bringing the Joker to town

Fox is starting to crank up the publicity machine for the second season of Batman spin-off, Gotham, with a brand new teaser focusing on the swathes of villains lining up to make Jim Gordon’s life a misery. And by the looks of things, he’s going to have his hands full this time around…

The new teaser features another look at the Galavan siblings, who are set to be the primary antagonists of the new series, while the returning Penguin, Riddler and Cat are also present and correct. However, a certain Jerome Valeska looks set to steal the show… there are villains, and then there’s the Joker.

While some of season one’s villains worked better than others (Jada Pinkett-Smith’s grating Fish Mooney falling squarely into the latter camp), the new additions look pretty solid here. The inherent issues of a Batman-less Batman show may not be resolved, but there’s plenty on show here to pique the interest… Starring Benjamin McKenzie, Gotham season 2 will return to Fox on September 21 2015.
