Dripping with old fashioned wartime bravado, Trenched is billed as a hybrid %26ldquo;tower defense shooter%26rdquo; that tasks players with strapping into a heavily armed "mobile trench%26rdquo; and defending the world from the nefarious Vladamir Farmsworth and his mechanical army of brain-scrambling Monovisions. If it sounds a touch absurd, remember this is a game created by Double Fine; the same mad geniuses behind 2005's trippy cult-hit Psychonauts, and a more recent slate of downloadable games featuring underaged monster-hunters (Costume Quest) and puzzle-solving Russian Dolls (Stacked). Double Fine is also working on a newSesame Street game for the Kinect, but we're pretty sure that'll be borderline crazy as well...in a PG way, of course.
