Cyberpunk 2077 will mark a first for CD Projekt Red's burgeoning open-world RPG tradition: multiplayer. CD Projekt Red managing director Adam Badowski revealed the new angle to Eurogamer, but said little more about how it will be implemented.
"It will be a story-based RPG experience with amazing single-player playthroughs, but we're going to add multiplayer features," Badowski said.
The game's open world will span futuristic Night City and other environments. Players will find a bit more creative freedom to define their avatars, with several character classes available instead of a pre-defined hero like The Witcher's Geralt of Rivia.
Article continues belowSpeaking of the studio's fantasy franchise, Badowski would only say the team is "thinking about something" for multiplayer in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
