Crytek teases absolutely fantastic mystery project

Crytek is working on a yet-to-be-revealed project which the company's general manager of games, Nick Button-Brown, says “looks absolutely fantastic - I mean, genuinely the best of that kind of project we've ever done.” While the new project's not yet ready for public appraisal, Button-Brown promised CVG that this will change next month.

“A big part of our business is big budget console and PC games,” Button-Brown told the magazine. “We still want to deliver the highest quality that we can, wherever we go,” he explained, assuring players that the company's forays into mobile and F2P don't preclude it working on traditional AAA fare.

“We're going to carry on doing [traditional AAA] games,” promises Button-Brown. “We like doing mobile games, we like doing free-to-play, but we also like blowing things up in a visually stunning style."

Earlier this year, Crytek showed off a new trailer for its Kinect-exclusive Ryse. In late 2011 it was announced that Crytek UK (nee Free Radical Design) would be bringing high-powered graphics and its patented brand of charming irreverence to a Homefront sequel.
