Sinister has released an eerie new poster, in which the blurred face of a mysterious boogeyman can be seen etched on a wall in blood. Yep, it's a horror film alright…
The film stars Ethan Hawke as a true crime novelist who moves into a new house with his family… a new house that just happened to be where the previous occupants were brutally murdered.
While exploring the attic, Hawke stumbles across a box full of old home videos, and not knowing when to leave well alone, decides to watch them. Naturally they're full of horrible murders, linked to a pagan demon known as Bagul.
That's Bagul you can see peering out of the new poster. The story goes that the demon lives within images, waiting for a child to look upon him so that he can steal their soul. Probably best to keep your kids away from the poster then. Just in case…
Directed by Scott Derrickson and co-starring Vincent D'Onofrio, Juliet Rylance and James Ransone, Sinister opens in the UK on 5 October 2012. In the meantime you can check out the new poster, below...
