Codemasters to crack into new Dizzy game (no yolk)

Codemasters is teasing the return of one of the most seggessful, eggciting, and eggtraordinary Yolkfolk mascots in the studio's history. And yes, as you can tell by the flood of forced egg puns hitting the internet today, that mascot is none other than the egg-shaped, puzzle-platforming hero Dizzy, who looks to be getting a second crack at videogame stardom according to a new website and teaser trailer:

Dizzy's resurrection has also been advertised on Codemaster's EggcitingNews.com website, and the UK-studio's PR boss Rich Eddy today confirmed the team was one day away from an official announcement, tweeting, “We'll name the date for #EggmergenceDay tomorrow.”

Eddy has since updated his feed with more goofy egg references, urging fans to get an 'eggducation' by visiting Dizzy fansites and prepare for an 'eggventure'.

Dizzy first debuted back in 1986 with Dizzy - The Ultimate Cartoon Adventure, spawning eight sequels and a slew of spin-offs. Codemasters isn't saying how it plans to bring its anthropomorphic egg into the 21st century, but our bet is a 2.5D downloadable title, cartoon racer, or gritty open-world reboot. Your predictions?
