2012 teaser trailer arrives

Fans of Roland Emmerich’s particular style of world destruction will be happy to hear the first teaser for his new pic, 2012 is now online.

Moviefone has the teaser, which in true Emmerich style, showcases nothing from the actual movie, but instead focuses on an arresting image.

On 2012’s case, it’s a Tibetan monk trying to warn locals of a slightly destructive wave on the way.

Cusack and co

The film sees a massive global cataclysm happening on December 12th 2012, bringing humanity to the brink of extinction and follows the people around the world trying to survive.

John Cusack, Woody Harrelson, Danny Glover, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Amanda Peet are among those who are aiming to ride out the disaster.

2012 is currently shooting in Vancouver and opens in cinemas next July.
