It's a bizarre puzzle that requires a bit of interpretation to hopefully get the right answer, putting you in the mindset of the Koskela brothers. However, using the code to crack the gift shop safe open will get you the Trailer Park Key so that Saga can get into her "old" trailer in Watery. You'll already have the Alan Wake 2 screwdriver by this point, so you can easily get inside to get into the gift shop. How to open the gift shop safe in Alan Wake 2
The Alan Wake 2 gift shop safe code is 1 4 6 in Coffee World.
A note on top of the safe explains that the solution is based around the words "Tracker, Lookout, Cleaner" which can be found at the bottom of the page. Ignore the much larger "Lookout, Fixer, Supplier" as it's effectively a red herring. However, given the gloomy lighting and the fact your torch so often washes things out, it could be easy to miss the smaller, correct clue below thanks to the lighting (much like the Alan Wake 2 Witchfinder's Station password).
Those words don't mean much on their own, but if you go to the staff notice board on the opposite side of the room, you'll see a series of photographs of people:
Unhelpfully, there aren't any staff with the titles Tracker, Lookout or Cleaner, so you will have to be basically be very interpretive about matching people to the code. Essentially you're guessing which jobs could relate to those words in any way, and the not entirely obvious answer is the following:
- Tracker: Susan - Lost and Found
- Lookout: Joonas - Security
- Cleaner: Victor - Janitor
So where do the numbers come from? Well, the board also says that Thomas the Ride Operator has completed his first year - and he has one coffee bean sticker on his picture. So if we count the beans on the photos of the people highlighted by the code names, we'll get the safe combination we need - Susan has one bean, Joonas has 4, and Victor has 6, giving us that all important code. Head back to the safe and enter that in, and you'll be able to get the trailer key at long last.
