There seems to be something in the water in Hollywoodland at the moment.
Maybe it's the spirit of Christmas, maybe it's the stress of the writers' strike, maybe the suits have been listening to Radiohead's In Rainbows one too many times but, whatever, they've decided to start giving away sections of their films for free, and that can only be a good thing.
The latest film to get the free footage treatment is Charlie Wilson's War and we can understand why Universal would want you to see it.
Featuring a classic exchange between Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Tom hanks (even if the swears are bleeped out) and offering glimpses of the film's sterling cast, this has to get bums on seats when the film is released here in January.
But you can watch the footage and decide for yourself. Thanks Universal!
