Coolest Detail: It’s an entire poster dedicated to Catwoman – meeeeeoooow .
Army Of Darkness (1992)
Representative Of The Film? It may considerably enhance Bruce Campbell’s pectorals, but this one sheet perfectly captures the batshit energy of Army Of Darkness .
Coolest Detail: The skeletal sword-wielders at the bottom. If we ever have an army, we want it to be populated by these guys.
The Usual Suspects (1995)
Representative Of The Film? It’s a recreation of that memorable line-up scene, though the names are all maddeningly in the wrong place – as usual.
Coolest Detail: The mathematical equation of the tagline, simple though it might be.
As Good As It Gets (1997)
Representative Of The Film? It relies entirely on Jack Nicholson and his magnetic movie magic, which is pretty much true of the film as well.
Coolest Detail: This poster cuts out the dog (which Nicholson can be seen holding up in other one sheets), making ol’ Jack look madder than ever.
The Matrix (1999)
Representative Of The Film? Though it’s basically a load of people wearing shades and scowling, it embraces the mood of The Matrix – and promises Keanu with a gun. Which is enough for us.
Coolest Detail: Cypher looks particularly smarmy in the background – wonder if he’ll become a double-crosser?
The Truman Show (1998)
Representative Of The Film? A fractured image that looks a little like a bad TV transmission, which ties in perfectly with the film’s themes.
Coolest Detail: The poster is actually made up of hundreds of stills from the movie.
Fight Club (1999)
Representative Of The Film? The film’s pretty much a collection of mysteries all tied up neatly in an attractive package, which makes this artwork perfect for it.
Coolest Detail: It does exactly what the film’s famous tag tells us not to do – we all start talking about what the hell Fight Club is.
Edward Scissorhands (1990)
Representative Of The Film? There’s snow, Johnny Depp as Ed, and those glinting finger-blades – plus the creepy mansion.
Coolest Detail: The inclusion of the sculpted bushes that Ed trims himself is a nice touch.
Pulp Fiction (1994)
Representative Of The Film? The poster for Tarantino’s epic more than slightly resembles the sleeve of a trashy novel, but it’s got a grungy cool to it – much like the film.
Coolest Detail: One heck of a cast list – plus the fact that Uma Thurman is reading some pulp fiction herself.
