Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 2 review

New heights of incomprehensible gaming

  • Deep card play
  • Cards exclusive to each copy
  • Multiplayer works well

  • Hard to learn
  • Just bigger
  • not better
  • New content not significant

Dec 11, 2007

Yu-Gi-Oh GX Tag Force 2 is pretty much impenetrable for the Yu-Gi-Oh! noob. Even with the tutorial there%26rsquo;s a good few hours of learning curve before you can approach the game with much confidence. For those already Yu-Gi-Oh-ed up, the game provides all the deck-tinkering and strategy you%26rsquo;d ever want, with more cards, cards exclusive to each copy of the game and further cards available to download. With a four-player mode and 10 new characters you have to applaud the thoroughness, but in terms of new features you%26rsquo;ll be disappointed. It follows the %26lsquo;bigger%26rsquo; and %26lsquo;more%26rsquo; rules of a sequel, while neglecting the %26lsquo;better%26rsquo; bit.
