Targeting enemy aircraft that are too far away is ineffective and wastes ammunition. Make it count by using the range finder to determine distances before firing. Understanding the Delta SaberÂ’s arsenal is equally important as some multipurpose missiles are designed to target fighters, but are useless against ships. Avoiding collisions sounds simple enough, but at high speeds, pilots cannot come to a sudden stop. Practice evasive maneuvers such as side rolls or 180-degree turns to avoid careening toward a cruiser.

Using the afterburner and power cut technique are also very effective. Activate the afterburner to pull away from a swarm of enemies, and then swing around with a 180-degree turn to target them. But be warned, the afterburner will not function when shields are depleted. Change directions during a power cut and continue moving on inertia alone to point the nose of a ship toward an enemy aircraft and score multiple hits.
