Within their release section, Famitsu suggests a November release date of Ninety Nine Nights: Rondo. Whatever this upcoming N3 game is, we sure hope to see the continuation of the series, but of course with more time put into development.
Regional freesheet Metro has told GamesIndustry.biz that Microsoft's total spend for the huge advertising campaign in today's edition amounts to around GBP 500,000.
In something of a surprise that's not really a surprise, the Xbox 360's price has been technically lowered in Japan. Or, at least, it will be -- effective November 2nd, 2006, a "Core System Release Anniversary Pack" Xbox 360 will be available for just 29,800 yen. This contains the console, all necessary cables, a wireless controller, and two games -- Ninety-Nine Nights and Project Gotham Racing 3. A 20 GB hard drive will be sold for just 9,995 yen extra.
Looking at Microsoft Japan's latest offering, first revealed on the pages of this week's Famitsu, and you might find yourself wishing that the Xbox 360 wasn't selling so well on our shores. Starting November 2, Microsoft will be offering Japanese gamers a chance to pick up an Xbox 360 core pack (including the system, a wired controller and component AV cables) bundled with Ninety-Nine Nights and Project Gotham Racing 3, all for 29,800 yen. That's a little over $250, making this one of the best gaming deals since Microsoft Japan practically gave the Xbox away a few years back
The war has begun. Microsoft today invites gamers to take to the battlefield in the Xbox 360 exclusive "Ninety-Nine Nights," available now at retailers across North America.
The latest demo to hit Marketplace is Q Entertainment/Phantagram's highly anticipated Nighty Nine-Nights. Thankfully, no one will be left out as the demo is available in all Xbox Live regions.
Mike Wolf, ABI Research: "For all the talk of supporting the Japanese market with relevant titles, the [Xbox 360] launch list -- and even today -- shows a dearth of titles that will entice the Japanese game player. Ninety-Nine Nights and Final Fantasy XI are a start, but what they need are some exclusive must-haves that would drive the Japanese consumer to the console."
Initially misunderstood, hyped forever, and now finally coming to the United States, Ninety-Nine Nights is a Q Entertainment produced, Phantagram-developed action game couched in the style of Dynasty Warriors.
Despite listing a hard drive as a requirement for Ninety-Nine Nights on the official Xbox.com site, the game apparently doesn't require the core-pack add-on.

Entertainment is creating a long awaited sequel for the PSP, and bringing the Lumines franchise to the PS2, Xbox 360, and Mobile phones we get all the details direct from series mastermind Tetsuya Mizuguchi.
