As you may have already heard, MGS:TUS and Fangamer created probably the most unique piece of gaming merchandise - the "Les Enfant Terribles" t-shirt.

The unique created logo on the front is a symbol of the project, which started most of the events in the Metal Gear Solid games storyline - the cloning of Solid Snake, Liquid Snake and Solidus.

Look closely to find the little details.

The t-shirt also comes with special MGS inspired dog tag, exclamation mark sticker and packed in very MGSish cardboard box for your hamster to hide in.

Worth checking out for every MGS fan!
While we’re still waiting for concrete details, below are the features we expect to see in Hideo Kojima’s latest entry in the much respected stealth ...

Everywhere you can read about Famitsu, Big Boss, the old man, Kojima Productions NEXT and teaser site, Metal Gear Raiden, etc. But nobody seems to figure it out.

But think logic. Picture of Big Boss? Hideo speaks of the old man. It's not Big Boss, it's Solid Snake! Look at his military hat. No Foxhound logo but something completely different. Check out the link for more 'answers'.
Then again, he said the same thing about Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and we all know how that ended up. Without saying specifically that Kojima has changed his mind once again, Siliconera reports that Konami has registered the title Metal Gear Existence on the Japanese Trademark Database along with the image attached to this post.

The only thing left to wonder is what ever happened to the rumored Metal Gear Solid 3: Revolver Ocelot?"
PlayStation 3 came with the promise of a universal login ID, and this certainly wasn't a universal login. Some were so angered by Konami's decision that they refused to play MGO altogether. No one was foolish enough to skip the MGS4 story because it. Now that we're almost a year removed from everything that took place, a reason for the Konami ID may have surfaced: PSN bandwith fees."

This past March, MGS4 went to Sony's Platinum budget line in Europe. Now, it's following suit for Japan.

Hideo Kojima's swan song for Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, will be released on Sony Computer Entertainment "PLAYSTATION 3 the Best" line on June 18 for ¥3,990 (US$41).

MGS4 went on sale June 12, 2008. Even though it's one of the biggest selling PS3 titles in Japan, MGS4 still hasn't reached the million copies sold benchmark in The Land of the Rising Sun. By the end of last year, the game sold 4.5 million copies worldwide.

Blockbuster is offering up some good deals on video games in its stores. You may want to head out to your local Blockbuster to see prices on not only their previously rented (used) games, but their new (sealed) ones. Blockbuster's used games may be rough (no instructions, scuffed up discs, generic boxes), but there are some gems among the unopened/new games.

Some of their better deals are for Nintendo games that usually don't get a price break. Super Mario Galaxy is $24.99 new and Super Smash Bros. Brawl is $33.99 new. Mario Party 8 is $27.99 new.

For PLAYSTATION 3 gamers, you may want to check out Metal Gear Solid 4 for $37.99 new or Socom Confrontation with the Sony Bluetooth Headset for $44.99. BioShock was also spotted for $19.99 on the PLAYSTATION 3.

See a picture of an in-store price listing here.

PSXExtreme:

"Well, once again, we may be seeing the power of the most recent positive impression sitting foremost in everyone's minds.

But we're certainly not trying to take anything away from the Best Storyline Poll winner: Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. It beat out the runner-up, Final Fantasy VII, and the original Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy VIII came in third and fourth respectively. Hideo Kojima and the rest of his staff certainly delivered one of the most professional and memorable plots in history; the amazing cast of characters coupled with the nicely paced and appropriately intricate storyline was indeed groundbreaking. This is the type of story many of us have been waiting for in the video game world, and we're most appreciative of the script, dialog and plot twists. It's also significant to note that this honor didn't go to a role-playing game; it only proves just how accomplished the MGS franchise really is."
Regardless of all this talk Kojima has dealt out about focusing on all-new characters, a majority asked for a sequel involving either Solid Snake or Big Boss. Almost tied with these two options was a crowd of users requesting new characters, or no sequel. Sufficient to say, the fandom is a little split in this one.
This is not some goofy off-shoot. This is canon. The arrival of Metal Gear Solid on the iPhone is not small potatoes. Konami saw fit to get Snake on the App Store before the Xbox 360. Think about that when you're wondering which gaming rig is positioned for a strong 2009.

For those players that want to get a head start on the action and pre-order SCENE through Metal Gear Online's in-game shop or Konami's shop, there's a special gift in store. Once the pre-order period starts, one week before the release date, all players who pre-order SCENE will receive a special "cardboard man" head gear for free. It should definitely provide ample cover for any bad hair day."

Konami's overall profits were ¥17,826 million ($198.8 million), up nearly 17.3 percent year over year.

We collect a lot of gaming merchandise at GamesRadar. While we buy some of it ourselves, one of the perks of working in the industry is that a week rarely goes by without some new item of promotional gaming paraphernalia finding its way to our desks. And generally it's a pretty even mix of awesome and crap ...

Barely edging out the impressive PS3, the swanky new dash and the amazing exclusives like Gears of War 2 and Fable 2 put Microsoft over the top. The Wii's casual focus didn't garner it any votes this year.

2008 was a big year. There were so many great games released that it's incredibly hard to decide which one deserves to be the Game of the Year… so that's why Ripten is going to make you do it. Have a gander at Ripten's nominees and let them know which game you think deserves top honors. Additionally, they want to spark some debate as they also want to know which of the nominees is least deserving of Game of the Year.

The best commenter (best arguments, most interesting or humorous comments - as decided by Ripten staff) will also be rewarded with a super awesome prize: a free game! Let your voice be heard!

The nominees are:

Left 4 Dead
Metal Gear Solid 4
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Grand Theft Auto IV
Fable II
LittleBigPlanet
Fallout 3
Gears of War 2

What a difference a year makes. 12 months ago, the contenders for Game of the Year could be counted on one hand. This year, you'd be hard-pressed to whittle the list down to candidates that would fit on all of one's fingers and toes. Crowded though it may be, one game delivered on a level that blew everyone here at IGN away. Hideo Kojima's final (No, really, this time! Maybe...) Metal Gear Solid managed to tie almost every plot point together, piled on the cinematic flair and played more accessibly than any previous game in the series. In short, it was awesome, and simply must be experienced.

Cnet: Not only are there some really good deals on game consoles this holiday season, but also on games. Starting December 7, Best Buy is cutting prices for one week on some popular titles for both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3, making all the serious gamers holiday dreams come true.

This is only on selected titles, for both consoles:

Xbox 360: Tom Clancy's EndWar for $39.99, Civil War for $29.99, Legendary for 39.99, and Far Cry 2 for $39.99.

PlayStation 3: Konami Corp's Metal Gear Solid 4 for $39.99, Dangerous Hunts for $29.99, and The Simpsons game for $9.99

Online giant Amazon.com is making console bundle choices a tad more complicated with deals on the PlayStation 3. With that and the recent price drop of the Xbox 360, this should make for some hard holiday decisions.

A bundle known as the "high-definition promotion" gives the consumer $50 off the PlayStation 3, game, Blu-ray disc, and a remote.

Besides looking back at some of the major events during the two years, the mag also asked some industry experts on their view about PS3's future. Some of them think Ad-Hoc Party, the new service that allows PSP games with local communication play functionality to be able to go online, will spurs PS3 sales.
