Capcom announced today that the third of three Lost Planet map packs promised to be forthcoming last February will be available on Xbox Live come June 21. Map Pack #3 will include three maps: Lost Technology, which Capcom somewhat mysteriously describes as a throwback to 8-bit gaming; Ruins, set within a jungle; and Ice Drop, which is set on a glacier.
Multiplayer map pack #3 for Lost Planet: Extreme Condition for Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft will be available for download on Xbox Live Marketplace on Thursday, June 21. The map pack costs 400 Microsoft Points and includes three new multiplayer levels: "Lost Technology," a throw-back to the good ol' days of pixelated 8-bit gaming; "Ruins," ancient temples set amidst a lush jungle; and "Ice Drop," a frigid glacier with lots of peaks, nooks and crannies.
Capcom's been one of the biggest success stories on the Xbox 360 so far. The traditionally Japanese-focused company has seen enormous sales on the platform through Dead Rising and Lost Planet. Much of that, however, has come from sales in the United States and Europe -- as much as 90% of sales totals, actually.
Up until now, the lucky gamers that have the Collector's Edition of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition for Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft have been able to enjoy the extra "Battleground" map which sets players in an abandoned town scattered with rubble from ruined buildings and features indoor and outdoor areas with multi-level vantage points. Starting on Thursday, June 7, the map will be made available for free download to everyone on Xbox Live Marketplace.
Christian Svensson, Capcom's senior director of strategic planning and research, has said that part of the Lost Planet team is working on something secret, but it is lost planet related.
Two new Lost Planet multiplayer maps are now available to play on. The second lot of maps include "Trial Point" and "Hive Complex" and are approximately 161.7mb in size...
Campcom announced today that the second multiplayer map pack for Lost Planet: Extreme Condition for Xbox 360 will be available for download on Xbox Live Marketplace on Friday, April 6.
A few days ago I posted a podcast from 1up.com that stated "important xbox360 exclusives coming over to the PS3". Heavy speculation derived at the conclusion it would be capcom bringing over 2 of their xbox exclusives Lost Planet and Dead Rising. In this blog posted quote by Christian Svensson Capcom Entertainment Inc's. - Sr. Director of Strategic Planning & Research he states in a question an answer:
Microsoft is giving you the chance to prove how cool you are, thanks to a Developer Showdown against the team behind Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, including the game's director Kenji Ohguro.
Word comes from Major Nelson That 2 new multiplayer maps are now available on marketplace for Lost Planet Running for a cool 400 points. The maps are Radar Field and Island 902.
It would seem since the Lost Planet update yesterday a great number of people are experiencing disconnection issues.
MaxConsole.com reports:
Yesterday, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition got a multiplayer auto update. The first thing it did was add some features, such as seeing a player's national flag in the lobby, pre-game and post-game results. It also shows who's talking in-game and in the lobby with a ")))" to the left of their gamertag in team-based games. Finally, in the lobby, your connection strength to a player is signified by a "!", and the brighter it is, the better your connection. The other set of fixes were to bugs found in the game, due to lag, as well as a few exploits.
