Use a VS During the Credits

Before the words "Test Player" appear, press and hold the following button combination, and you'll be able to control Wayne's VS during the credits.

Achievements

Ace Medal (30 pts.) - Collect 10 Ace Medals in the Elimination matches online.
Chain Killer (50 pts.) - Waste 10 opponents in a row without dying in online battle.
Conqueror Medal (30 pts.) - Collect 10 Conqueror Medals in the Post Grab matches online.
EARTH Explorer (10 pts.) - Find all target marks in Mission 01.
Elimination Medal (30 pts.) - Collect 10 Elimination Medals in the Team Elimination matches online.
Grand Slam (30 pts.) - Collect all four types of medals in matches online.
Head Hunter (50) - Head shot on 50 enemies in online battle.
Hunting Medal (30 pts.) - Collect 10 Hunting Medals in the Fugitive matches online.

Lost Planet: Extreme Condition Hints

Defeat Akrid

Here is how to defeat different types of Akrid on Missions 1-10:

Dongos: When they charge at you dodge them and go behind them and start shooting the red ball on the end with a Machine Gun or a Shotgun until dead.

Trilid: When they are flying just shot a couple of times with a Machine Gun. (this is very easy)

Chryatis: When they go to hit you with their legs, shoot the big red ball with a Machine Gun or a Shotgun. Or Sometimes with a rocket launcher. (if you don't have one use a shotgun if you have one)

Scorpion Akrid: Throw a grenade under them and then shoot the big red spot a lot of times with a Machine Gun.

Bee/Wasp Akrid: Just Shoot the big red spot with the weapon of your choice.

Giant Worm: When it pops out of the ground shoot the green spots with a Machine Gun or With a Rocket Launcher. (not required, kill if you want Gamerpoints)

Giant Moth: Be sure to have a VS and When it comes tp pounce on you just shoot the red spot. repeat until dead. (not required, kill if you want Gamerpoints)

Green Eye: When it is walking around shoot the green spots on the sides and will you have shot them all ones on it's face will appear just do the same thing.

Zip Line Tips

If you're in a race to get to either a data post or a VS, use the zip line to cover the distance quicker. Hit X again about halfway up the line to cancel it out and skip the jumping animation that follows. You'll get there first every time.

Grenade Tips

Thrown a grenade that's missed its mark? Just shoot it. Wayward grenades can be detonated at any time by one bullet. This is extremely helpful in taking out enemies on higher ground. Toss the grenade up and shoot it before it lands to explode towers, cover and pesky Vital Suits.

Defeating Giant Moth

Trying to defeat giant moth? I just recently beat the game and on the way i defeated the Giant Moth (this is for an achievement point. You do not have to kill it) do not try and kill it the first time you encounter it. The second time you encounter it (when it flies over and knocks you down) keep going to the top of the hill as you would normally when you about 3/4 to the top to the left there will be a VS laser gun pick it up (you have to hold it the whole time) go all the way up the mountain and you'll see a path you have to walk on to go where you need to go - stay on that path and when you see it about to fly charge it up and shoot it. Repeat until dead, trust me you'll know when its dead. (only recommended if you have enough t-energy.)

Beating Green Eye

The best way to beat Green Eye is to stay off the ground as much as possible. However, when he shoots the ice at you get on the ground and shoot the green things on his side. When the 4 on his head appear, shoot them with a rocket launcher or a grenade launcher. Save a couple though for the very last one.

Vital Suit Invulnerability

When you enter a new VS, there's a "startup" animation that shows the suit powering up. While this is going on, the suit is impervious to all attacks. If you're fighting a boss or in a situation where you know a big attack is coming, wait until the right time to enter the VS. If you do, you can absorb all the damage without penalty.

Lost Planet: Extreme Condition Easter Eggs

Shoot the Loading Screen

When the loading screen appears, keep pressing RT and you'll be shooting the word "loading"! Also, if you press LT, you'll throw that spinning round thing that will explode!
