For a limited time only (well, until the end of October) the Xbox Live Marketplace is running an 'Extended Play Download Days' promotion which is offering some pretty good savings on some of the more popular DLC.
E3, the video-game industry's big trade show, is next week, and you'll be hearing a lot about all the new software coming between now and Christmas. But there's a bit of a lull until Aug. 12, when Madden NFL 09 unofficially marks the beginning of the fall game season. July is a good time to catch up on some of the games you may have missed. Microsoft's releasing an 89Mb piece of DLC for RPG Lost Odyssey in Japan this Thursday, VG247 reports.

At the end of the Lost Odyssey session at this year's Game Developers Conference, presenter Ray Nakazato apologized. The title of the session had been "Looking Back at Lost Odyssey -- The Challenge of Cross-Cultural Development," but Nakazato had hardly touched upon that topic. Instead, the President of FeelPlus inc. spent the hour giving Gamespot one of the best, most clear presentations they have seen at this year's GDC.

Microsoft and Mistwalker Studios today announced that the Xbox 360-exclusive Lost Odyssey will be released tomorrow, on February 29th at retailers across UK.
If you've been enjoying Mistwalker's Lost Odyssey then you're in for some good news. It would appear that Lost Odyssey just may be Microsoft's own Final Fantasy, with sequels already planned.
HMV is offering 1000 Microsoft Points to anyone pre-ordering Lost Odyssey before its release on Friday.
But they did change the review: "Editor's note 02/19/08: After posting this review GameSpot found that load times in the review version of Lost Odyssey were significantly longer than those in the retail game. We have amended the review accordingly and regret the original error."
Lost Odyssey takes top spot of the Gamefly Top Ten 'Most Queued' list. Super Smash Bros. Brawl continues it's reign at the top of the Nintendo Wii list, while PlayStation 3 gamers have Devil May Cry 4 queued up at the top.

Mistwalker's latest Xbox 360 RPG, Lost Odyssey, is shipping today, and GameInformer's review is almost ready for release. GameInformer caught word that there is a difference in load times between the review build GameInformer had and the final boxed version, however, so GameInformer is waiting to double-check if this is indeed the case before GameInformer posts. GameInformer's readers deserve the most accurate coverage possible, and if there is a noticeable load reduction in the retail SKU, GameInformer wants to make sure they know. GameInformer is hoping to have their review posted tomorrow-stay tuned.
