Rockstar sues over pulled GTA IV ads

Publisher's free speech 'violated'

Take-Two parent Rockstar has unleashed its attack lawyers on the Chicago Transit Authority and is suing it for pulling GTA IV adverts.

According to Reuters the publisher is suing the transit authority "for violating its free speech and contractual rights, saying it pulled its posters within days of the ads first appearing on April 22." It did this "without explanation."

Both Chicago Transit Authority and its sales agent Titan Outdoor LLC are accused of violating a poster-focused ad campaign agreement for the sequel which in cash terms was worth $300,000.

Take-Two's suit that it's filed is seeking damages of a minimum of $300,000 and for the ad campaign to be reinstated.
