Xbox 360's first Japanese RPG makes the move to Sony's new console.
According to rumors, Enchanted Arms' developer, From Software, gave a hint to Japanese magazine Famitsu about a planned version of the game for the PlayStation 3.
Today Ubisoft, one of the world's largest video game publishers, announced that Enchanted Arms has shipped exclusively for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and will be available on store shelves this week. Enchanted Arms was created by development studio FromSoftware in Japan and is the first true next-generation Japanese role-playing game (RPG).
"Enchanted Arms features what we call the SpeedTactics Battle System, which is a fast yet flexible system allowing both in-depth tactics and fast-paced battles. The dev team's approach was to bring the best RPG features together into one system that offered a wide variety of tactical options for hardcore RPG fans, but could also be used easily by mainstream users. The result is a hybrid system blending grid-based and turn-based elements."
Due for release on 29 August, Enchanted Arms is the fully localized version of From Software's more awkwardly named and rather annoyingly capitalized [eM] eNCHANT arM, the first traditional Japanese RPG to emerge on the Xbox 360.
Today Ubisoft released the first video in a series of three for the upcoming Japanese RPG Enchanted Arms. Experience one of the first true next-gen RPG adventures. Developed exclusively for the Xbox 360, Enchanted Arms, finally arrives in the U.S. this month.
