Shivering Isles officially confirmed and revealed inside

The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles, the first full expansion to mammoth-RPG TES IV: Oblivion, has finally been officially confirmed by developer Bethesda, and we've hunted out the first images to offer you a glimpse of the new world, open for adventuring on Xbox 360 and PC in the spring.
Set in the Realm of Sheogorath, a fresh new land accessible through a gruesome portal located in Oblivion's Cyrodiil, Shivering Isles allows you to use your existing character in its new quests, or create a new hero for this fresh adventure.

The location is split into two parts - Mania and Dementia - reflecting the schizophrenic nature of Sheogorath, the mentalist deity that rules the island. His land is threatened, and Sheogorath calls on you to complete a set of trials, battling more than a dozen new enemies to help defend the weirdly wonderful isle.
To help, characters in the two towns of Crucible and Bliss can forge new armor and weaponry for you to wield - just take a peek at the image above to see a vicious looking sword employed against an exotic new crystalline enemy. Hit the Images tab above for more.
