Nope it doesn't change my opinion. It does however entice me if I had no bias. However due to the colossal **** up they did pre and during E3 my current bias is deep rooted and spiteful. I don't feel the need to reward those type of policies even if they don't exist anymore.

They were prepared to sell us something that takes away consumer rights and treats the consumer like a criminal. We reacted, they backed off, but the fact remains that they were very willing (and still probably are, deep down) to do all this. Sony, despite the fact that they MAY have had these thoughts despite statements to the contrary, never wished to oppose consumer rights. Microsoft's messaging has been unclear for the past 3 months, but Sony's wasn't. Clear and simple.

I think I'd rather they just released the thing in the fall however they'd wanted it, without telling us all about it a year in advance. Changing things is fine, but it just seems like they're bowing to pressure instead of making a better sytem. Nobody might have liked it as it was, but it might have turned out that once you had it it was good. Now we'll probably never know.

Hmmmm... Nah. They were obviously fishing for a reaction, so as to have an idea as to what people thought about it. Anyways, its hard to create hype for a product that no one knows about, so they might as well cleared the air about it at the get go. Or you would have parade of angry customers returning their machines in droves, creating an obvious used market for it and just bad press about it on launch or Christmas.

The only thing left is to drop the price $100 and then you will have a PS4
  • Shinn - August 12, 2013 4:32 p.m.

Finally, now we just need a cheaper version without Kinect and I'll pick one up with Halo 5.

In other words, the PS4 and the Xbox One are going to be practically identical now. That was a stupid move on Microsoft's part: Eliminate the few things that differentiated it based on public ignorance (That admittedly stemmed from their terrible PR department)
  • BladedFalcon - August 12, 2013 4:44 p.m.

Or maybe, just maybe, they should have tried to differentiate themselves in a way that was, y'know POSITIVE, and actually good. Being different for difference's sake is worse than being more similar to something good or positive.

This is getting really crazy. I wonder how bad pre-order numbers are looking for them to be changing literally everything about the console before launch.
  • silax - August 12, 2013 11:46 p.m.

Not so sure its preorders, remember that the guy behind some of the least popular stuff left e company
  • Sy87 - August 12, 2013 4:01 p.m.

So... A core system with only the one and not the kinect? They did two bundles during the 360. Keeps getting better before release. Keep the news a rolling.
  • Sinnott - August 12, 2013 3:46 p.m.

Funny how they were adamant about keeping their policies. Now they are folding faster than a paranoid poker player.

The 180-train keeps on a rollin'.
