It sounds like there won't be multiplayer with this though, which is a disappointment if it's true.
  • Spybreak8 - September 9, 2011 6:56 p.m.

Nice but my money for games department has been filled with the games I know that are coming out lol. I do have Crysis 2 on 360 though but never finished it.
  • bebl09 - September 9, 2011 4:06 p.m.

Is it true that it's download only? Hooters, can you clarify?
  • ChickenFillet5140 - September 9, 2011 2:05 p.m.

Looks sweet, definitley getting this. I played C2 but found it extremely boring. Hopefully this won't dissapoint as much.
  • D0CCON - September 9, 2011 1:55 p.m.

It could be that I just haven't played Crysis in awhile, but that looks like what my $800 PC can play it on (I only own Warhead and it plays the game on the second highest settings). It's pretty hard to argue about saving $550 and getting negligible differences in graphics without ever having to worry about specs or upgrading hardware.
  • gilgamesh310 - September 9, 2011 1:42 p.m.

This is just great news. I played Crysis on the PC before but it was a PC clearly not capable of running the game properly , so I stopped playing about a 3rd way through the game. I had considered upgrading and dishing out for a load of expensive upgrades so I woulf be able to play it, but now 4 years later, it looks like I don't have to.

The keyboard and mouse may offer better "control" but there not comfortable, at least not to me. I can play Team fortress 2, Counter Strike: Source(I suck), and Starcraft 2 on full blast with pretty much no lag. "Most pc cost less than the ps3 at launch". Yeah at launch not anymore. I'm not going to spend a thousand dollars to upgrade or buy a new pc, sit on an uncomfortable chair, use uncomfortable controls, and look at a smaller screen just to get better graphics when I could, sit on a comfortable couch, use a comfortable controller, all while looking at better graphics than my pc can produce on a 50 inch flatscreen.
  • EroticInvisibleMan - September 9, 2011 6:54 p.m.

Hahah! You do know that that 50 inch flatscreen of yours makes everything look worse because of its size, right? Hell, I payed like $900 AUD early last year for a PC that can play Crysis on max. You could easily buy the same now for around $600 - 700, but you enjoy holding the industry back because you'd rather pay less outright to get a subpar experience. Also console games cost more, but whatever.

How would know, your a pc gamer!? Everything looks better and runs smoother on my tv. This is something you pc A-holes never seem to get because you always flip out if someone disagree's with you. This is MY opinion not yours, ok? That is MY setup not yours, ok? Just because I play on consoles doesn't mean YOU have to, ok?! Just because someone comments saying something the goes against the idea of a great gaming experience that you got in your head, doesn't mean its wrong. Let THEM play how they want to play it doesn't concern YOU ok? Just because I don't want to spend 700 dollars and would much rather spend 300 for something I actually enjoy I'm holding the industry back? Go screw yourself you pompous dick, my God you pc players are all the same, your brats.

Hey now, don't be lumping us all into one category. It's just that most of us don't feel the need to say "pc is better" because honestly, we don't really care. Yeah, our pc's can do more, but with the rare exception like The Witcher 2 or Battlefield 3, the differences are going to be negligible. The price issue was what held me back, but I eventually found a pretty rational way to handle it. When it came time for me to buy a new PC for non-gaming needs, I looked at the cost of low-end and gaming PC's, and I found that the price difference was about the same as a current console price. I would never drop $900 on a PC just to play games, but adding $300-400 to the $500-600 I was going to already play? That wasn't too bad. When it comes time for you to need a new PC, I'd recommend you look into that option, especially around the holiday season. Those Christmas sales can make it well worth it.

Sorry about that, I really didn't mean every PC gamer a lot of the ones I've met though are like that.
  • IceBlueKirby - September 9, 2011 12:46 p.m.

I always wanted to play Crysis, I was just never much of a PC gamer, and I doubt my PC would have run it based on what I've heard about it (I've never read the requirements or even seen the game being played in person) so this ought to be a treat.
  • Net_Bastard - September 9, 2011 11:30 a.m.

I already have the PC version, and it's fun as hell! You guys are in for a real treat. The gameplay is just top-notch. My favorite thing to do is going into Maximum Strength mode, picking up a soldier, and tossing him into another soldier. Once again, this game is awesome.
  • mothbanquet - September 9, 2011 11:56 a.m.

And here's a sensible comment for a change. So easy to predict the loud guffaws and snot-nosed splutterings of 'hur hur hur consoles suck lol'. I'll definitely be picking this up at some point, always wanted to play the original Crysis but didn't have the hardware to run it. This is a golden opportunity for others in the same boat to see what they've been missing.
  • D0CCON - September 9, 2011 1:50 p.m.

Thank you for not being a PC elitist. These are the comments I'd like to see from everybody regarding games going to other platforms.
  • godisanarc - September 10, 2011 8:12 p.m.

This game is fantastic, my computer still can't play it very well, I've beaten it on PC about a year ago and can't wait to play it again on the 360. Really looking forward to downloading this one.
  • Net_Bastard - September 11, 2011 12:07 a.m.

When I got into PC, I told myself that I would never be a PC elitist. Seriously the PS3 has Uncharted and Modnation Racers. I love those games. And not only that, but games like GTAIV and SR2 are just awful on PC, with the nonexistent engine optimization making the system requirements twice as high as Crysis maxed out. But I'm just going to tell you that people who play exclusively on consoles that think PC's cost $3000 and think that a console's graphics are the same thing as a maxed out PC game are just as bad as the PC elitists that look down on console gamers and call "consolization" whenever they see a feature they don't like. TL;DR: Console elitists and PC elitists are both dumbtits.
  • NanoElite666 - September 9, 2011 11 a.m.

Neat. Although if I really wanted to play Crysis for myself I could always just play my brother's PC copy.
  • DirkSteele1 - September 9, 2011 9:52 a.m.

That is definitely the way to announce a new game. Never played the original and rather enjoying number 2 at the moment having picked it up for the bargain price of £15 so will probably check this out at some point.
  • TheIronMaiden - September 9, 2011 8:42 a.m.

Too late for me. I've moved on from the Crysis craze; and honestly I see this as nothing more than away to earn some extra dollars off the title since it's almost guaranteed that some consoles boys will go nutso over this.
