Huh, wouldn't have thought that Injustice would keep such a momentum, good for them though, I always applaud it when fighting games do well, they don't get enough love with the mainstream... Speaking of which, it depresses me to no end to see Black Ops II still in the charts *le sigh* but oh well.

I'd like to see the projections they made for a FF7 remake. I can see why it would be expensive since rebuilding every location in 3D is several years of work on its own. Heck, FF7 has entire household interiors built for the purpose of housing one lousy chest. And transferring all the character models and animation over to the new engine won't be a seamless transition.
Their best bet really would be building a new game, so why not do that? Create a new FF7 game based on the original. Same characters, same story, same battle system, but change the game's layout and design to accommodate modern standards. Cut out the unessential rooms, redesign the dungeons, and it should start falling into a manageable budget. It's the great experience of playing the game that should be remade, not the entire game itself.

I'm really not getting why publishers don't even want to try with the Wii U. I don't own one, but seeing as how they're doing a PS3/360 version as well and the Wii U is on par with those consoles, why can't Activision just do a limited release for the Wii U version? It's not like they have to be afraid of losing money; everyone knows COD sells ridiculous amounts every year.

I think its because the game thrives due to its multi-player. The Wii U install base is just not covering it. If they were to ever do a limited release, then there wouldn't be enough copies in order to keep the multi-player thriving, thus return sales, then no DLC purchases. As for the discussion of whether the Wii U has the potential install base can be debated, but this surely speaks wonders abut it.

"Kiddies", THIS is the... 8th or 9th studio to close or lay out large chunks of it's staff in the past year. It's a developer and a publisher. Wasn't there some hardware company out there that's decided to help developers and publishers with some sort of protection against loosing their life blood? How many used copies of Tomb Raider/Hitman/Deus Ex have you seen floating around Gamestop's? Yeah...
There's a reason companies have to lay off half their staff or worse- close all together. And the nerve of you to say "What a shame, it's a sad day in gaming" and then praise second hand sales while ripping into the idea of protecting these people so they can keep making games.
F*#kin# hypocrites. Absolue f&#ki#g hypocrites.
But... that's typical. Rage against what you've been told to rage against, feel sorry for what you've been told to feel sorry for. Ignore the utter lack of comprehension of what it means to be throwing rocks at yourself from both sides of the fence. Good stuff, stuff.

While I ultimately share the same sentiment, in this case, these studios are suffering not because they sold poorly (well, not sure how Hitman did, but Deus Ex and tomb Raider did quite well), they are suffering because of Square Enix's inability to manage it's money (with several huge flops of its own in the last several years). Unfortunately, Square is making it's foreign studios into their scapegoat, while not reflecting on their own critical failures.

Exactly my thoughts! Just remember though, it's ALWAYS someone else at fault! (sarcasm)

Why does everybody want to see The Last Guardian? What's so special about it that makes everyone want it so badly? I thought we knew like, nothing about it?

And why do you always put some "new Mario, new Zelda" in there? It's just so random. Especially in the first places.

They made a huge hit with a survival/horror game, and then proceeded to turn it into an action game over the next 2 iterations.
R.I.P. Dead Space (I hope). You had one outstanding game, on mediocre game and finished off with a huge dud, but at least we can always go back to the first game.

This game deserves it, for sure. I'm on the New Game plus and still finding context-sensitive conversations with Ellie that I missed the first time around. There's an impressive level of detail that you can miss if you don't put it to a magnifying glass.

I beat the game yesterday too, but I hated The Road...and I think the last of us really shouldn't be compared to it, there are more than enough differences that make it something completely different, the game is truly amazing, game of the year definitely, and the multiplayer in my opinion was much better than I thought it was going to be...much more than tacked onto a single player game.

What? I just... this is... I can't... it isn't... no... it can't be... where am I? What is happening here? I don't know what is going on, my mind... struggles to create memories where none exist... can't handle... this... I can't... breathe...
