After last year’s layoffs by EA, it’s widely acknowledged that Pandemic is now Pandemic in name only. So what are the developers who brought you Star Wars Battlefront, Destroy All Humans and the surprising Army Men RTS doing now? Chinese MMOs, is what, for the newly formed Globex Studios LA.
According to the press release announcing the new hires, Globex will also be targeting US audiences with a slate of unannounced online games. Our hope? That they’ll use some sexy new cloud rendering tech to deliver a Battlefront III-caliber shooter that looks amazing on any PC. And is playable for free, naturally. Expect more news about Globex’ plans for world domination to emerge this week during GDC.
